The Big Deck

ERATTA - Eratta on Strength in Diversity means this deck no longer works as it used to. This deck can still work, but you no longer get the masses of bonuses.

Opening Hand: Rand al'Thor 1 (Fixed), Faile, The Dragon Sceptre, Lord Dragon, Sweat Tents (SA)

Turn 1: Send Rand into the battleground. Replace him with Lord Dragon. If you think it's safe, send him into the pattern challenge. Play The Dragon Sceptre.

Turn 2: Recruit Faile (only costs 1 symbol)

General Tactics: Go insane! Draw cards, recruit everything. After 2 turns, you will hopefully have 3 pattern and Faile, meaning you can get over the pattern restriction for Siuan, Galldrian and Rhuarc, even if you draw them first turn. Rand uses the Dragon Sceptre to give him the allegeince of whatever you happen to have in your hand for that turn, and the -1 cost to Light Nature/Dragon characters makes recruiting so much easier all game. Use whatever you need to to help you recruit (use lots of pattern once you have enough to cover the 3 cards with pattern restrictions), and draw cards every time you have space in your hand. There isn't any order to this deck, it's just draw, recruit, and win challenges on the side. Things to remember: 1-make sure you have a Strength in Diversity for the Last Battle, and a Decicive Tactics. 2-recruit Aviendha and replace her before you recruit Rhuarc (otherwise you control 2 Maiden of the Spear/Clan Chief cards and so Sweat Tents will make you discard them both.) 3- If your opponent has Lines of Command out, use your Strong Loyalties to pull out the few troops just to cover your numbers. 4- The Voids go on Aemlyn and Mielan for more support 5-While Rand has Car'a'carn on him and you have He Who Comes With the Dawn, Rand can re-roll any of his dice.

100 cards (50 characters/troops)

Comments: Despite how disorganised this deck looks (and plays) - it has actually been fine tuned quite a few times. This deck could become even more crazy, if you used Ji'e'toh and put in some Chiefs instead of the poorer Wise Ones. But I had to included as many Light Nature characters and card drawing. Believe it or not, this deck can draw to the end about one in every 4-6 times (based on my test runs of it). Best to play this deck against a straight Dark One deck, so you can get everything out without the other player getting in first.

Last Battle: Well, if you have everything out this deck rolls 486 dice (plus Rand's re-rolls) and should generate about 275 support (plus pattern).

0 wins from 0 games (Never been bothered re-constructucting this deck to play - maybe it doesn't even work when you actually have to play against someone.)
